Please be careful of referring to paralysis as some sort of horrible thing. Life can be pleasant with accomodations that level the living field. Lianna is a very happy girl and that’s what is important.

So, the idea of putting her thru surgery at
this point has been postponed. And my little pork chop has her
appetite back x10 and is chugging bottles and eating everything we

Also, I must close …
Also, I must close this post on a positive note. I met with Lianna’s
GI doctor yesterday. She has already gained back the weight she lost
during her illness and the doctor doesn’t think Lianna needs a g-tube
because her growth/weight are following the curve and because she
bounces back so quickly.

So, to all of Lianna’s friends, I ask you to help me remedy this
negative comment by posting positive comments on the youtube
website. Or if anyone does have any doubts or questions about me or
my family, PLEASE let me know! I will provide any and all info
needed. The students I have met already know I am an ‘open book’.

This is what happens when an uninformed, uneducated person blindly
spouts off. This has hurt me, but it just shows me how much work I
have to do. People need to walk in my shoes, or Lianna’s shoes, or
perhaps one of my other friend’s shoes for a day. Most people have
no idea what I do, or why I do it. The don’t know what I have given
up just to make my daughter smile.

I would like for …
I would like for this person who made the negative comment to come
visit my parent’s home. Would they like to carry Lianna up and down
for me every day? Would they be willing to carry her 350 pound
wheelchair up and down the stairs? Would they be here to move her
once she gets too heavy for me to lift?

You know what I am …
You know what I am trying to do to help any person with a different
ability. You know I have to change the world.
For clarification, the ABC application for EMHE asks for all persons
in the household to be included in the video. I live in my parent’s
home, so they must be in the video. Lianna and I are the ones
needing a roof over our heads, my parents already have a home.

My first reaction …
My first reaction was anger, but
now I just want this person to learn about my daughter and my reasons
for applying for EMHE.

The people that know me and my daughter, or at least have heard my
presentation, KNOW that I am NOT asking for a handout. I need a home
for my daughter and if I just get a bedroom of my own I’ll be happy.
You know that I am not able to work a full time job AND take care of
Lianna. You know that I am living with my parents in a bi-level.

As one of the contributors on this video I am choosing to post what Tawna has written in reaction to a certain comment. Everyone:

Tonight I found out that someone posted a very negative comment on
the youtube website about my family. I am deeply concerned and sickened that someone would post such a horrible comment for all the world to read. This person obviously does NOT know me or my daughter.
